Yoga is a 5000 year-old science and philosophy of life. It is a system for developing inner peace and happiness by using physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditative reflection.

The mission of YOGAworx is to offer yoga that is accessible to everyone. Any posture can be modified to be gentle or challenging according to the practitioner’s ability. The goal of yoga is to develop strength and flexibility, deeper breathing, and a calm, focused mind.

When yoga postures are practiced in a meditative and reflective way, there is an opportunity to develop mindfulness, transcendence and self-transformation. Yoga develops strength and flexibility both on and off the mat. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Barbara helps students of all ages, fitness levels and lifestyles to feel both energized and relaxed through the practice of yoga. She combines classical yoga instruction with meditation and pranayama. Smaller class size allows her to provide individualized instruction. Start where you are and use yoga to live mindfully in all aspects of your life.
